Today I woke up and it was LIGHT. Okay so partially it was down to the extra 30 minutes in bed I gained from staying in central London, but still. LIGHT!
So it got me thinking… about clothes. Spring clothes to be more exact. They’ve started popping up in shops (I press my nose against the glass outside Anthropologie pretty much every lunchtime). So here are a few of my ‘Spring Pickings’.
For me, Spring is all about bringing a bit of colour back into my wardrobe. This oversize shirt from Reiss had me at hello. If I had the dollar, I’d be slinging it on with a waistbelt, leather jacket and ankle boots.
Once again, I’m lusting after Boden’s Brogues. But this season they come in a gorgeous minty green… it’s an investment, non?
This dress originally caught my eye on Pinterest, and turned out to be a steal on ASOS at 25 English pounds. I’m thinking daisy chains in the hair, lying in a sunny English field, sipping home made lemonade…. alright the reality is sitting in Costa in a dingy corner of London staring at the puddles forming outside. But this dress will bring a bit of sunshine regardless! (Plus it has a sweetheart neckline, the most flattering of all).
Supremebeing are an awesome British clothing company I stumbled on a while back. Their stuff is amazing quality and whilst the ladies selection is pretty limited, the pieces are always a bit different and you’re not too likely to bump into someone else wearing the same thing.
And for those days where it’s still a bit chilly (or drizzly) and you fancy a pair of ankle boots… these badboys tick all the boxes and give you a teensy splash of colour.
I’ve raved before and I’ll rave again, Essie nail varnishes really are the best as far as I’m concerned. Easy peasy application with a nice wide brush, amazing consistency, ridiculously fast drying time, and more colours than you can shake a (cuticle) stick at.
For spring I’m thinking of indulging in Turquoise and Caicos… it just looks so fresh.
I’m also a bit of a magpie when it comes to yellow things. Just look at this pretty blazer. Wouldn’t it go with every… hmmm. Probably can’t justify it that way. But still.
And last but not least, a lovely bit of mahooosive bling. Bling, be mine.
