Sunshine makes London the most wonderful place. Everyone is happier, people spill out of pubs onto the streets clutching ice cold ciders, and some of us get to feel intextricably smarmy on the train in our flip flops whilst all the suits perspire away. (Sorry suits!)
Weather permitting, each morning I walk from Waterloo to Piccadilly where I work. Trafalgar Square was looking particularly delightful this week.
Sunshine always makes me crave Japanese food. My friend Steph introduced me to an awesome place in Soho called Satsuma. If you go you have to order a Bento box, it has so many compartments of deliciousness.
The green tea ice cream is also great. I must admit I was not convinced by it before sampling it…. but was pleasantly surprised.
Last night I headed up to the National Theatre balcony to toast a bank holiday weekend Friday with a cold Cobra. Pure bliss. (I couldn’t believe how empty it was up there – Londoners this is a great spot!)
Today was spent sitting by the river with some of my university chums. An ideal start to the bank holiday weekend.
